  1. Ezekiel Elliott had a quiet 100-yard game by his standards in the Dallas Cowboys' rout of the Jacksonville Jaguars.

    27 December 2018 - 02:39 AM

The star running back spoke the loudest after the 40-7 win Leighton Vander Esch Jersey on the home-road discrepancy for a .500 team that's perfect at AT&T Stadium and winless with three mostly anemic offensive showings on the road.Up next before Dallas' open week: a trip to NFC East-leading Washington (3-2) Youth Cole Beasley Jersey , a half-game ahead of the Cowboys and defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia, tied at 3-3."Obviously it's something we can do, but we need to do it," Elliott, emphasizing "need," said Sunday after rushing for 106 yards and a touchdown. "If we keep not winning on the road, we're not going to make the playoffs."Dallas has three touchdowns on the road — one in each game. The Cowboys are averaging nearly 100 yards per game more at home than on the road, and the numbers are particularly stark in the first half.At home, the Cowboys have a 210-125 edge in yardage before halftime compared to a 221-103 deficit at the break on the road. It's not exactly the formula for taking a crowd out of the game."We've been a good road team in the past," coach Jason Garrett said. "We have a young team. We have to understand how to handle the conditions on the road."After some pregame pumping up for Dallas from UFC star Conor McGregor , Cole Beasley had his first two touchdown catches of the season against the Jaguars.Dak Prescott threw for 151 of his 183 yards before halftime and had 82 yards rushing, the second-best total for a quarterback in franchise history behind Roger Staubach's 90 yards in 1971.Prescott had two other career numbers: his longest run, a 28-yarder after escaping a sack, and his longest scoring run — from 17 yards after a fake to Elliott for Dallas' first TD.The 2016 NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year didn't have to throw in the second half, so the team's 30th-ranked passing game coming in couldn't really be judged by another sub-200-yard game."I was talking to Dak the other day and we talked about how this game could set us up for the rest of the season Youth Demarcus Lawrence Jersey ," said receiver Allen Hurns, who didn't have a catch despite five targets. "We've still got to focus on trying to win on the road."Things to consider after the Jaguars (3-3) had season lows in total offense (204 yards) and yards rushing (65) while running just 47 plays to 72 for the Cowboys:HOBBLED RUN GAMELeonard Fournette's availability with a balky hamstring will remain one of the big topics for Jacksonville, which is on its third left tackle in Josh Walker while All-Pro left guard Andrew Norwell has been a disappointment as a big-money free agent. The Jaguars want to run — they're 0-3 when they don't get to 20 carries. Four-time All-Pro Jamaal Charles, unsigned before joining the Jaguars this past week, got a taste with five carries for 5 yards and a 5-yard catch. His role going forward will be something to watch. Starter T.J. Yeldon had 41 yards on just eight carries."We're pretty banged up, but we've got guys that can play at any position," said quarterback Blake Bortles, who was 15 of 26 for 149 yards after establishing career highs in yards passing the previous two weeks. "We expect a lot out of everybody out there."DALLAS D-LINEThe defensive front of the Cowboys is getting close to full strength, and could need the help with top pass rusher DeMarcus Lawrence trying to play through a shoulder injury.Defensive tackle David Irving made his season debut after serving a four-game suspension and missing his first possible game for personal reasons. He had an early pressure on Bortles.End Randy Gregory had his first sack since returning from substance-abuse suspensions that sidelined him for 30 of 32 games over two seasons. Gregory had a team-high three QB hits. Tackle Maliek Collins returned after missing three games with a knee injury and had his second sack of the season."With that particular lineup, it's an unbelievable rush group," owner Jerry Jones said.EARLY GOOSE EGGSJacksonville is in a three-way tie for first in the AFC South with one of those teams, Houston, visiting Sunday. A good place for the Jaguars to start would be to start faster. They were outscored a combined 44-0 in the first half of losses to Kansas City and Dallas. The Cowboys scored on all four first-half possessions against the NFL's No. 1 defense. "I'm going to figure it out, but it's my job to make sure that our team comes out and they're ready to play," coach Doug Marrone said. Troy Aikman was there for the great years http://www.authentic...thompson-jersey , and he was there for the struggles that followed. And what he sees from the Cowboys at the moment is closer to the latter than the former. The former Cowboys quarterback and current FOX analyst said during an interview on 1310 The Ticket that the team needs a “complete overhaul.”Considering the owner is also the General Manager, that seems unlikely, and Jerry Jones has said that he doesn’t intend to make a coaching change during the season.“Go through the list and this team, over a long period of time, has been what it’s been,” Aikman said, via Todd Archer of ESPN.com. “It hasn’t always mattered who the head coach has been. So to me, if you’re asking me, I’d say there has to be a complete overhaul of the entire organization.”Aikman clearly doesn’t expect Jones to let anyone else run the place, as he leans on his son Stephen Jones, along with vice president of player personnel Will McClay and coach Jason Garrett for personnel matters.“I’ve heard Jerry say, ‘OK, look, we’re going to do it differently. I’m going to do it differently,’ . . . but it’s the same. Nothing changes http://www.authentic...is-jones-jersey ,” Aikman said. “And that to me is the bigger issue beyond, yes, coaching is important, personnel, all those things are important, but how are you going about evaluating how you’re going about running the organization? Whatever that looks like 鈥?and everyone has an opinion on what it does look like, but I’m not in the building. I have no idea. I talk to people. I talk to people who have been inside the building and have a pretty good understanding how things are run and in a lot of ways there’s a lot of dysfunction and that has to change if this team is going to be able to compete on a consistent basis like the teams that you look to around the league that seemingly are in the hunt each and every year.”Aikman may have a personal relationship with Garrett (they were teammates during the ’90s), but he also has a unique opportunity to see behind the curtain at other franchises, the good ones and the bad ones. One former Cowboys coach likes to say, “You are what your record says you are.” The Cowboys are 3-5 at the moment, 70-58 in nine years under Garrett, and have exactly two playoff wins since Aikman beat the Vikings in the 1996 wild card round.
  2. Random Ramsdom: 8/23 Questions remain on depth Rams Mailbag: Who will be the RB backup |

When Jon Gruden was hired for a second stint as Oakland Raiders coach, there were immediately questions about how quarterback Derek Carr would respond to Gruden's intensity, cursing and hands-on approach after four seasons with more low-key coordinators and defensive-minded head coaches.Carr laughed off those doubts, pointing out that he's familiar with the swear words Gruden sometimes spews even if Carr doesn't use them http://www.ramsautho...ib-talib-jersey , and he said he welcomes the challenge of a coach who will always keep him on edge."I have to be on my game in front of my teammates," Carr said. "It's awesome, man. I absolutely love it. He wants me to get up in front of the room and show them the way I do things and hear it from my voice. Just the way the quarterback position is treated. He's a quarterback guy, being the head coach is completely different."Carr began his career with Dennis Allen as head coach back in 2014 and Jack Del Rio came in the following year for three seasons. Their expertise was defense, leaving much of the offense and the tutoring of Carr to the coordinators. It's been completely different with Gruden in charge, as he will call the plays, runs the offensive meetings and frequently peppers Carr with questions about how he would handle all types of situations."Whenever we're not doing something, we're together Youth John Johnson Jersey ," Carr said. "If we're in an offensive meeting. If we're not in an offensive meeting, I'm sitting right next to him in the quarterback room. If I'm not in on a rep, I'm standing right by him. He's (saying,) 'Hey what do you think? What would you get to here? What would you do? What would you do?' That's the way it should be. He challenges me. He pushes me. He wants the best for me. You can tell that with his preparation every day. He's ready every day to give me something to let me dominate that day. It's awesome."The success of the relationship between Gruden and Carr will go a long way in determining the success of the Raiders this season as they try to bounce back from a disappointing six-win season. After showing steady progress his first three seasons that helped Carr grow from a second-round pick in 2014 to a quarterback with MVP support in a breakthrough 2016, Carr took a major step back last season under first-time coordinator Todd Downing. After breaking his leg in the next-to-last regular-season game in 2016 to cost him an opportunity to play in the postseason, Carr had another injury early last season when he broke a bone in his back in a Week 4 loss at Denver. He missed only one game because of the injury but never looked completely comfortable in the pocket after that as he matched his career high with 13 interceptions and recorded his worst totals in yards, touchdowns and passer rating since his rookie year in 2014.Carr has looked like a new quarterback in practice this season."Derek looks like a completely different person in my eyes, just from the way he's attacking the game http://www.authentic...e-easley-jersey ," tight end Jared Cook said. "From the way he's attacking the challenges that Gruden has been giving to him. Every time that Gruden asks him a question, he gets it right, no hesitation. Every time Gruden asks him to get up in front of a meeting room and call out a play, run a play, get to the right check, get to the right audible, he does it every time. That's a responsibility that Derek never had last year. You see a totally different player out of him. He's attacking the game differently mentally and he has a totally different attitude going in to this year."The Raiders hope that translates on the field starting with Monday night's opener against the Los Angeles Rams. Carr didn't get tested much in the preseason, playing just two drives. But Gruden has done his best to challenge him at practice and sees the quarterback he was so high on back at the "Gruden QB Camp" four years ago. Gruden has never had a promising young quarterback like Carr.He had success with veteran Rich Gannon his first time in Oakland and won a Super Bowl with Brad Johnson in Tampa Bay. But Gruden struggled to find a consistent passer in his later years with the Buccaneers. He believes Carr can be that guy."I try not to over-coach him http://www.authentic...zuerlein-jersey ," Gruden said. "He is a blast to be around. He is extremely talented. He's a great worker. We're trying to give him a system that he can sink his teeth into and take control of when the game starts. He's got tremendous leadership and style. But, I think we're making progress. I can't speak for him, but I sure enjoy coming in here and working with him every day."
  3. Report: Roquan Smith contract hold up not related to new rule

    27 December 2018 - 01:57 AM

It’s been reported that the ongoing contract dispute between first-round pick Roquan Smith and the Chicago Bears hinges on language regarding the new helmet-leading rule and would allow the team to recoup guaranteed money should he be suspended under it.However http://www.authentic...revathan-jersey , a new report from ESPN’s Dan Graziano says that it isn’t simply related to the new rule but related to language that the Bears have included in multiple first-round picks’ contracts in recent years:And that’s the simple way of putting it, this isn’t just about the new helmet rule, it’s about the team being able void his guarantees for whatever the team decides is harmful to their image:....That is some seriously vague and overbearing language. If, in this instance, Smith, were to come out and say after a game, “You know, I think we called a lot of blitzes today but it would have been better to drop back into coverage and we just got beat,” the team could theoretically determine that “breaches the obligation of loyalty to the Club.”And before anyone says “well, this is dragging out, he should just sign it and give up,” consider this: would you sign a contract with this language in it from your employer? Anything that said they could determine what they could withhold your pay for?I think Smith’s camp is in the right to dig in on this issue. Read the whole article and see how the language has affected other negotiations around the league. The Bears aren’t looking good in this latest report.Cold Takes: A Look At Chicago’s 2018 Season So Far We’ve all seen the “Hot Takes” from the first quarter’s games all over the net. In this series, I’m letting some time pass, and after reviewing the game tape a couple of times, I’m going to share some “Cold Takes.” about the first 4 games the Bears have played, plus a few thoughts about the NFC North & NFL at large. These are just a series of my thoughts and observations, presented in no particular order.First Quarter League MVP: Khalil Mack. Period. BOOM!Kyle Fuller, man you GOTTA catch that ball. I’m still smarting from that one. Jon Gruden is still an idiot.I may have been wrong about John DeFilippo being the next Minnesota head coach. He may end up as the head coach of the Green Bay Packers at the end of this year.I’m considering making “not talking about Mitchell Trubisky” in my Cold Takes series “a thing” because he’s 90 percent of the conversation on every other feature. Thoughts on that?Time for a cold takes “Where Are They Now” moment. You ready? OK, 2017 Chicago Bears Wide Receivers, listed in order of attempts... where are they now?Bears #1 WR Kendall Wright: Currently out of football Just signed with Arizona Monday after being out of football in 2018.Bears #2 WR Josh Bellamy (doesn’t that just send a shiver down your spine, and not in a good way): now the Bears #4/5 WR.Bears #3 WR Dontrelle Inman: Currently out of football.Bears #4 WR (before Chicago released him) Deonte Thompson: #4 WR & kick returner for Dallas.Bears #5 WR Markus Wheaton: Currently out of footballBears #6 WR Tre McBride: Currently out of footballBears #7 WR Tanner Gentry: Currently on Bears practice squadYes, that list is really Blue Leonard Floyd Jersey , really ugly.Ryan Pace is no longer ranked Dead Last for GM’s. I guess fielding a team without Kendall Wright, Dontrelle Inman, Deonte Thompson & Markus Wheaton as the heart of your WR corps will do that. Oh, yeah, and acquiring Khalil Mack. There’s that too. Khalil Mack is a bear. Keep saying it, over and over, it will keep you warm at night. We’ve had some really crappy kickers since Robbie “left” but... man... Mason Crosby? Whoa, that’s a whole new level of sucking. That’s taking “bad day” to new hights. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch of fellas.Aaron Rodgers can still put on his “God Mode” ring and take over a game, but honestly, most of the time when he’s not in “God Mode” he’s playing like crap. Rodgers was horrible for most of the Lions game.Jon Gruden is still an idiot. Oh, have I mentioned this before? Sorry, not sorry. The Chicago Bears are my favorite NFL team. The Packers are my fourth favorite NFL team. The Lions are my third favorite. The other 29 teams are tied for my second favorite. Starting to look at Miami, and seeing a really strange team. Adam Gase, an offensive guru, is their head coach, so they should have a great offense and an “iffy” defense, right? Nope. They are TERRIBLE on offense, while their D is quite solid. I don’t think they score much on us, the question will be if we can put up points on them. Winning the turnover battle will be key.I like Deshaun Watson, I really do... but that young man is going to have a very, very short career in the NFL if he doesn’t learn how to protect himself when taking some of those hits he’s being pummeled by. The Seahawks, who we beat Youth Roquan Smith Jersey , nearly beat the Rams Any given Sunday.Cleveland’s defense is top 5. Seriously. I don’t care what the stats say. The Vikings and Eagles are both weird teams this year, neither one of which (talent wise) should be 2 win teams after 5 weeks. But... they are...I watched the Charger’s “home” game against San Francisco, where the tiny little 30,000 seat stadium was a sea of red as it was filled with Niners fans. The NFL should step in and move that team back to San Diego, else some other town that will actually support them like Oklahoma City, Portland, Salt Lake, etc. Call it a “move Mulligan” or something. The Rams are doing fine in LA. One team there is more than enough.Look for Jordan Howard to have a breakout game against Miami. The Bears are 3-0 since I bought my wife her new Chicago Bears ball cap & zip-up jacket. You are welcome.Jon Gruden is my All-Time Favorite Raider.I asked my fellow WCG contributors if they had a first-quarter Cold Take they want to share, and here are their answers:Andrew Link: Neither side of the ball has reached their potential. The offensive side of the ball is well-documented. As the season progresses, we should continue to see growth from Trubisky and the offense as a whole. The key for this offense is going to be keeping everyone involved and playing off of the individual match-ups that each game provides. On defense however, you still have Khalil Mack and Roquan Smith rounding into shape, and learning a new scheme. As the symbiotic relationship between the pass rush and secondary grows, we will likely see more chances being taken, for better or worse. Either way, this team is still mostly potential, but that potential can grow into something great...on both sides of the ball. Sam Householder: There are still going to be lumps the rest of the season. One 6-TD game doesn’t mean that the Trubisky has figured it all out. He still needs to learn to better anticipate pressure and diagnose coverages better, especially against most exotic defenses than what the Bucs showed. The team might lose some games that we don’t expect them to, but that’s all right: This season was never meant to be all or nothing when it came to the playoffs. That said, they are ahead of where we thought they would be so come later in the season as everything gels, we could be playing with house money.Lester Wiltfong, Jr.: Jordan Howard is going to be fine. His numbers are down partly because of the game-plans, but also partly because of the game-flow. Matt Nagy is still trying to find a comfort level with his play calling and how to best utilize all the talent -- and there is a lot of talent -- on his offense.Aaron Leming: The Bears are the best team in the NFC North. Will it end up like that in Week 17? I’m not sure but I truly believe they are the most complete team through 5 weeks. They have the best defense & to this point it hasn’t been that close & if they have a middle of the road offense http://www.authentic..._donnell-jersey , they aren’t going to lose many games. The Bears season will be defined within their division & I think the final 5 games within the North will surprise a lot of people. Josh Sunderbruch: The secondary is deeper than we think. The injuries the secondary took had some people scared, but there is decent depth on this roster. The special teams players can step up, for example, when the Bears need then to.ErikC. Duerrwaechter: There’s plenty to be optimistic about with this team. The Bears’ defense has already ascended to the top of the league as one of the most dominant units in 2018. Khalil Mack is a real contender for the league’s MVP award. With that said, there’s contributions being made from each level; from the D-Line to the secondary. Meanwhile, the offense is still coming together. And that was to be expected, with an entirely new offense being installed with plenty of new faces. Trubisky has improved slowly through the first 4 weeks. He needs to continue improving, if this Bears team is to compete for the long-term. And where I’d like to see Jordan Howard get more involved with the run game, the blocking up front hasn’t been great. That might change with James Daniels potentially taking over at LG. Once every component on offense gets rolling, it’s going to be a formidable unit to play against. Robert Zeglinski: Trey Burton is the best and most valuable skill position player (non-quarterback) the Bears possess. That’s better than each of Jordan Howard, Tarik Cohen, Allen Robinson, the whole lot. He’s the Earth of the Bears’ “Earth, Wind, & Fire” at tight end. Seeing how he versatile he is in lining up all over the field and excelling as a fullback, split-out receiver, and even in-line tight end makes me appreciate Chicago’s offensive Swiss Army Knife more. He’s a talented worker bee up to any task asked of him. Burton’s numbers through a month as a receiver (11 receptions, 176 yards, two touchdowns) aren’t impressive at a glance. I think that’s more of a product of Burton and the Bears offense getting into sync, since the entire passing offense didn’t break through until Week 4. Seeing how Burton’s produced that yardage from everywhere and how often he’s come through for Trubisky in small sample sizes, makes me think we’re heading for a major, consistent breakthrough for the tight end in the last 12 games of the 2018 season. Burton will in all likelihood never be a Pro Bowl tight end because he’s not that good Youth Eddie Jackson Jersey , and there are so many capable weapons on this Bears offense that can take away from his production and eye-popping numbers. But that doesn’t mean he can’t settle in firmly to the tier of very good just below it, or that his value is in any way diminished. Jacob Infante: The Bears are not an elite team, and a deep playoff run is incredibly unlikely. However, this very well could be a team that is still atop of NFC North for quite some time. Given Detroit’s hot-and-cold style of play, Minnesota’s general disarray and Green Bay’s relying on an injured Aaron Rodgers, things are lining up for Chicago to take control of the division. Granted, some of their rivals’ issues could be fixed later in the year, but the Bears have the pure talent on both sides of the ball to at least stay competitive with most teams in the league. Khalil Mack has played a huge role in revamping their defense, while Mitchell Trubisky has displayed in flashes what their offense can eventually develop into. 2018 might not be the year that they become true Super Bowl contenders, but the Bears are more than just a flash in the pan.Whiskey Ranger: Trubisky is still far from a finished product. He looked great against the Bucs, and did a lot of the things you want him to do vs a poor secondary. At the same time, he did miss on some easy throws, and missed a couple of reads. Nothing glaring, but still mistakes that a better D would have capitalized on. That should get better with time. He’s going to have some rough games again this season, so don’t get too down when he does, but he showed us what he’s capable of when he puts it all together. And boy, was it a sight to behold!Kev H: If the Bears had Wade Phillips instead of Vic Fangio I don’t think other teams would even score points. So what do you think, Chicago Bears fans... let’s hear it, spill the beans!
  4. After learning wide receiver A.J. Green’s foot injury will require him to miss the next couple of games , the Bengals have seen more good news than ba

    27 December 2018 - 01:37 AM

For the last several weeks, the offense has had to endure several injuries that have incapacitated key members for multiple games. October was not a very healthy month for the team overall, but as they Youth Clint Boling Jersey begin play in November, a few starters will be returning to the field. To start, they face quite possibly the best team in the NFL in the New Orleans Saints. Here are the players we are excited to see back on the field and hopefully step up in place of other injuries.RB Giovani BernardThe last time the Bengals played the Saints, Bernard didn’t take the field as he was nursing a hip injury that caused him to miss a month’s worth of games. Four years later, Bernard has missed the entire second quarter of this season with a knee injury he suffered in Week 4 against the Falcons, and is hopeful to return to the field against the Saints’ top-ranked rushing defense through Week 9.In Bernard’s absence, the Bengals have only had the remaining two running backs on the active roster activated in Joe Mixon and Mark Walton. Wide receiver Alex Erickson has been the emergency third back, but he only has one carry in the time Bernard was sidelined. Walton in the mean time has done very little when relieving Mixon in the backfield, and getting Bernard back in Walton’s place should help when facing a defense that gives up just 3.4 yards per carry. Just a reminder, Bernard had the fifth-highest success rate for running backs on running plays starting from under center through Week 4 (with at least 20 carries).Bernard’s snaps will likely be limited with this (potentially) being his first game back Bengals Carlos Dunlap Jersey , but without Green on the field, Bernard should also get a fair amount of opportunities in the passing game to compensate for the loss of Green. WR John RossSpeaking of compensating for the lack of Green, Ross has a pretty important task in that regard as well. In the same when Bernard injured his knee, Ross hurt his groin while catching his second touchdown of the season and his career and it caused him to miss the following two games against the Dolphins and Steelers. He returned for their Sunday night disaster against the Chiefs, but was a non-factor as his groin started to bother him again. Now after two-and-a-half weeks rest, the word on Ross has been encouraging.Having the injury-stigma following you around can’t be fun, but the Bengals can’t afford to limit Ross in the hopes that they preserve his health — not when they won’t have Green for an undetermined period of time. He needs to show out against the vulnerable Saints defense and give fellow wide receiver Tyler Boyd space to operate if the Bengals hope to keep up with quarterback Drew Brees’ offense.C Billy PriceFor the first time since Week 2, the Bengals first-round pick will be out on the field snapping for quarterback Andy Dalton. In the weeks leading up to this point, the signs all pointed towards Price returning to his starting spot at center, despite backup Trey Hopkins performing well in his stead. The Saints have been so consistent against the run because of the bodies they have in the middle of their front seven such as defensive tackles David Onyemata and Tyeler Davison. With that said, in their three games since their Week 6 bye, they’ve given up a 51% success rate to the opposing team’s leading running backs. The 38% success rate they’ve allowed against running backs running up the middle in that timeframe remains as stingy as it’s been in that area all season Nick Vigil Jersey , but this is a good opportunity for Price to show his value. Rust from Price should probably be expected, as this will be his third career game and start, but the standard Hopkins set is the benchmark for someone who is as highly touted as Price. DE Jordan WillisNow that we’ve gone over the players returning from injury, let’s talk about someone who will benefit from another player’s injury. With Carl Lawson out for the year with a torn ACL, Willis is set to see an increase in snaps going forward. The Bengals could’ve made a move before last week’s trade deadline or a transaction over their bye week to acquire an additional edge rusher, but they stuck with the personnel they have, like they almost always do. This is good news for Willis, but is it good news for the defense as a whole?Through the first half of his second season, we’ve yet to see the jump from Willis as a pass-rusher. As a matter of fact, he hasn’t even been as good against the run as he was as a rookie last season. Willis’ opposition will be arguably the league’s best tackle duo in left tackle Terron Armstead and right tackle Ryan Ramczyk, so Willis is already facing an uphill battle. Without Lawson, someone needs to step up Authentic Clint Boling Jersey , and Willis will be given the chance to do so first.DT Adolphus WashingtonAdmittedly, no one has really talked about the newest member of the Bengals’ defensive line. Washington was brought from the Cowboys’ practice squad late in September following defensive tackle Ryan Glasgow’s torn ACL and subsequent move to injured reserve. He’s been active for just three games since his arrival in Cincinnati, but he’s gotten better in each game he’s played. Everyone who isn’t Geno Atkins or Carlos Dunlap needs to do more for the Bengals’ pass rush, and Lawson’s injury opened a door for Washington on third down. He recorded his first sack of the season in their Week 8 win against the Buccaneers and a couple of pressures along with it. Washington has earned our attention from this point forward, let’s see if he can continue to play solid football against a stout offensive line. 5. PFF week three NFL defensive line rankings

    07 December 2018 - 03:20 AM

The team over at Pro Football Focus ranks the best defensive lines each week in the NFL.The Los Angeles Rams’ highly touted line secures themselves a great spot at #4 in the league Womens Dominique Easley Jersey , citing the issue mainly being the edge rushers:DEFENSIVE LINE RANKING, WEEK 3: 4thAs most probably expected, the edge rushers for the Rams simply haven’t played up to par. Samson Ebukam has been the best edge though even his impact has been relatively minimal as a pass rusher.Dominique Easley has flashed but injuries are once again holding him out from being able to play.Matt Longacre simply hasn’t shown up thus far. After undergoing back surgery in the offseason and a biceps injury in the preseason, Longacre has been incredibly silent throughout the season. The interior defensive line trio of Aaron Donald, Ndamukong Suh, and Michael Brockers will need to continue to carry this defensive line. The Rams’ best hope at edge will likely be rookie fifth-round pick Ogbonnia Okoronkwo getting healthy and providing a spark from the outside.Los Angeles Rams versus Minnesota Vikings: Stock up, stock down Wow. In an indescribable and highly emotional night and contest, the Los Angeles Rams escaped with another win improving their unbeaten record to 4-0.The game was a high scoring affair that finished with a score of 38-31 for the home team.Let’s take a look at the stock report:Stock DownK Sam FickenOnce again http://www.ramsfootb...ersey-authentic , it wasn’t all terrible for Ficken. He actually scored all five of his extra points and went 1-for-2 on field goals, though his miss from 28 yards was awful. It came at an awful point in the game as the three points would have put the Rams up by 13, instead they were only up by 10 and the Vikings came right back with a touchdown nearly tying the game.CB Sam ShieldsShields was not the only defensive back who struggled - matter of fact, majority of the defense did. But it was clear the Vikings loved picking on Shields last night for whatever reason. I wouldn’t say it’s a cause for concern because Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs are a downright dominant duo, but Aldrick Robinson shouldn’t be scoring a touchdown on Shields and Marcus Peters in coverage. Also, Shields’ almost-INT-turned-3rd down conversion was a turning point in the game.OLB Matt LongacreMatt Longacre is being depended up on to step up with edge Dominique Easley out, but he hasn’t separated himself in any shape or form. Whether it’s the injury or lack of pass rush, Longacre hasn’t been able to distinguish himself at all. The Rams will need more from the co-starter moving forward.WR Josh ReynoldsReynolds hasn’t been asked to do much recently Youth Andrew Whitworth Jersey , but his rep on the fake-punt-pass was very poor. The only explanation that’s acceptable is he might have lost the ball in the lights, but even then, he didn’t even bother going for the pass which certainly looked catchable. For a guy who’s huge and a jump-ball type receiver, you expect Reynolds to put forth a better effort than that.Stock UpWR’s Cooper Kupp, Brandin Cooks, Robert WoodsThis trio is the best in the league and I’m not sure any other receiving corps is close. Kupp was the lead dog last night pulling a 9-162-2 line and looking absolutely un-coverable all night. Brandin Cooks managed to score his first touchdown as a Ram in his 7-116-1 line. Lastly, Robert Woods started to dial in-in the second half and took advantage of his opportunities registering a 5-101-1 line. These three were absolutely brilliant against a very good Vikings defense.. The trio looks like they might all be able to crack 1,000 yards receiving a piece.Rams’ OLUnreal. This offensive line is on something because they continue to put forth the leagues best performance from an OL group. The Rams’ running attack only had 100 yards though that was clearly not the plan of attack. They averaged 5.0 yards per rush which is fantastic. Not only that Womens Rodger Saffold Jersey , but Jared Goff was sacked one single time and was generally given pristine pockets to work from. Anytime your quarterback can close in on 500 yards, you know the offensive line was absolutely dealing.QB Jared GoffElite. These past two weeks haven’t been good from Goff - they haven’t been great either. They’ve been ELITE. Goff continues to prove he’s not just a guy that works well in the system. Some of the pin-point accurate throws he’s making are jaw-dropping. Going 26/33 for 465 yards and 5 TD’s with 0 INT’s, Goff literally looked unstoppable. He was finding open receivers left, right, and center. And when they weren’t open, he was throwing them open. The touchdowns to Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, and Brandin Cooks were absolute dimes. The corner TD to Kupp defied all the laws of physics.DT’s Aaron Donald http://www.ramsfootb...ersey-authentic , Ndamukong SuhThe Rams’ handsomely paid defensive lineman are starting to show out. They started the game by collectively stopping the run - and it worked. The Vikings averaged a measly 3.2 yards per run. Aaron Donald finally managed to register his first legitimate sack - actually, he got two. Also, Ndamukong Suh notched another sack coming off defensive end for his second on the season.
