The only team that managed to even their best-of-seven series and force a Game 7 was the Minnesota Wild. The 3-1 lead that the Vegas Golden Knights held in the series has evaporated. The two teams will meet on Friday with the winner heading to the second round to face the Colorado Avalanche.Pittsburgh Penguins Mouse Pads

With Montreal looking to complete the series comeback, they opened up the scoring in Game 7 with a goal from Brendan Gallagher, as he took advantage of a Maple Leafs turnover and some shoddy goaltending.

It’s been a while since the Islanders and Penguins have hated each other this much. They’ve had some great battles over the years and tonight’s nine man battle royal was a nice throwback to the those wars.Boston Bruins Mouse Pads

The lackluster performance from the bottom-six didn't cost the Bruins in Game 1 because the Bergeron line was so dominant, but the Islanders are a really good defensive team and it wouldn't be shocking if they kept the top line in check for a game or two. The B's third line will have to step up at some point. So far, it's been a non-factor for most of the playoffs.San Jose Sharks Mouse Pads

The first Black general manager in the NHL will be Kevin Weekes -- at least, he should be. The 46-year-old former NHL goalie is well connected, with a strong reputation around the league as bright, analytical and forward-thinking. He's generated interest for some general manager openings so far, most recently with the Penguins.New York Islanders Mouse Pads

Arda Ocal, In the Crease/SportsNation: Mitchell Marner. He had chances in Game 6, but couldn't quite get his stick on the puck. He had a terrific defensive effort in overtime, but definitely has a spotlight on him going into Game 7. For Marner and Matthews both, this is their time to shine. If the Leafs lose and those two are invisible, questions will be asked by critics and fans alike. If the Leafs win and Marner has a solid game, all will be forgotten.
