As sneaker lovers, we know that basketball’s 130-year history has been defined by iconic memories, legendary players, and trailblazers. Immersed in the game for much of that long journey, Converse are honouring the barrier-breaking moments achieved on and off the court, prepping a collection of commemorative creps – including this stunning ‘Birth of Flight’ converse pro leather high top.

The converse all star 2020 is one of the true icons of the sneaker world, and its penchant for constant remixing and experimentation has yielded one of the most eco-conscious editions yet. Known as the Chuck Taylor All Star Crater Knit, Cons have drawn on the extensive R&D conducted by parent company Nike to implement some of the latest sustainability technology while reducing the impact of manufacturing new shoes.

Renowned streetwear imprint UNDEFEATED have rekindled their ‘FUNDAMENTALS’ program, reconnecting with Converse to release two seriously wearable colourways of the converse chuck 70 blanche. After the release of a similar collection back in mid-2020, the duo applies the same design ethos to this latest pack, coming through with two curated, essential pieces.

The execution is a departure from typical converse one star homme, as they are commonly seen in suede. This version instead opts for canvas with a print resembling weathered silver paint. Matched to that is the eponymous star branding in a similarly shiny finish. An interesting detail is the white leather toecap that contrasts starkly against the busy upper. Additional subtleties like white ‘bookend’ eyelets, custom tongue branding, and a clear ice sole are nice touches."
