Set to release in full-family sizing, the stylegowhere.com forthcoming pair features a full leather base throughout the upper. Netting on the profiles and tongue, as well as lace guards at the bottom and top of the tongue, deviate from the genuine material for their own molded variants. Jumpman branding on the tongue deviate from its muted surroundings with a vibrant red tone, but its arguably overshadowed by the light cement finish featuring on the aforementioned eyelets and throughout the midsole. While not an original colorway, these new Jordans‘ palette is an example of NIKE, Inc.’s unrivaled ability to modernize heritage, an accomplishment that has been extended to the retro’s OG-style packaging.
In fact, it dresses the upper in near entirety. The Jordan Sneakers Blue premium suede panels, which wrap the toe, heel, and profile, are all dyed the light cool tone, while both the netting and laces match to an exact spec. And like the neutral-dyed Jumpman at the heel, the tongue’s branding strays from the originals, opting for a white-on-grey label that ends at its side with the jock tag of a jersey. Elsewhere, black eyelets and midsole trims add contrast adjacent to a number of cement-hued, paint-speckled fixtures.
Using the iconic “Thunder” colorway as its framework, the Air Jordan 4 Retro GS "Rush Violet" pair adds on touches of red to replace the yellow that makes the aforementioned what it is. Though some had hoped these would be some sort of “Bred” recreation or an Off-White collab, it’s been confirmed to be exactly as pictured above. Hits of red will visually steer the helm, dressing up the underlying layers, the eye stays, the midsole, and the Jumpman branding stitched onto the tongue. Elsewhere, all of the panels are made neutral for the most part, blacked out at the toe, the profile, and even the counter.
But if you were looking for a pair to fill the same void, the Popular Style colorway is still very, very close to the original. White leathers smoothened out across much of the upper, matching that of netting at the vamp and profile. Over top that, the support wings and back tab are tinged black instead of the previously used cement print; instead, the latter only dresses the eyelets as well as quite a sizable portion of the midsole. Branding, as the mock-up predicts, places Fire Red Jumpman insignia both at the tongue as well as the heel.
