When one of the most well-known streetwear brands on the planet collaborates with one of the most well-known names in watches (on that same planet), you know we're in for some fun. And that's exactly what we have with today's release of a new G-Shock in collaboration along with Undefeated. We've covered which brand here on Hodinkee before, and its founder is our pal Eric Peng Cheng – you might remember his collab together with H. Moser & Cie from last year. Well, this year we move away from the haute horology into something considerably more approachable, at least from a pricing perspective, with the limited edition DW6900UDCR23-5 as part of G-Shock's 40th anniversary. The release (set to come out tomorrow) is meant to combine a celebratory feeling by way of the anniversary as well as a marking of a new chapter in the brand's creative endeavors.
Of course , this is a recognizable foundation upon which this LE is built, via the actual DW6900 base. You might recall a certain trio of timepieces in collaboration with Hodinkee and John Mayer released over the last few years in a variety of colorways. So it's safe to say we are going to fans of the model range here at Hodinkee.

The Undefeated LE brings a jolt of color into the model as well, as it features a vibrant yellow dial surface surrounded by a brown resin case. Adding contrast are blue highlights that include the recognizable Undefeated logo atop the particular yellow on the upper portion of the switch.
But it doesn't end there. That same logo is also hiding within plain sight via typically the backlight feature on the LED display. When activated, you will not just be able to read the time in often the dark, but also see the Undefeated logo in the background.

Now, this particular wouldn't be a watch and fashion cooperation without some method to switch things up. And to that end, this LE comes with an additional NATO-style strap in black, which features the Undefeated patch sewn on the top.
