For $2399 the Falcon offers a 500-watt mid-drive motor, Tektro hydraulic disc brakes, front and rear suspension, 48-volt 13 Ah battery, torque sensor, dropper post, Maxxis Forecaster All-terrain knobby 27.5″ x 2.35″ tires, and a top speed of 28 mph, making it a Class 3 ebike.
The rear suspension uses a EXA-form A5 air shock, while the front suspension sports the Wolf e-Spec Series fork with preload and lockout, and is made for ebike handling. Neither of these are top of the line components, but will satisfy most riders sticking to paved, gravel, and moderate off-roading conditions.

Getting an ebike with a mid-drive motor and full suspension for less than $2.5k is a pretty good deal. The 500-watt motor and 48-volt 13 Ah battery with Samsung cells will deliver good power and nice range of about 50 miles or so. It’s also great that the bike only weighs 49 lbs.

The Falcon doesn’t come with a throttle, but you can purchase one for $30 from Cyberbike and easily connect it. Mudguards can be added for $50. The bike doesn’t come with any lights, but mountain bikes typically don’t.

There are some areas where some price cutting measures were taken. The 7-speed Shimano Altus derailleur is above entry level, but nothing to write home about. I also would have preferred to have seen larger discs for the hydraulic brakes, but hey, at least they’re hydraulic.

Not all the wires are hidden in the frame, but that does make the bike easier to repair, down the road. All-in-all, the bike still has a lot of going for it.

What is particularly nice about the Falcon, is that the price is reasonable enough to allow someone to afford a full-suspension mid-drive electric ebike with good power and range, and upgrade other standard bike components over time, if they feel it’s necessary. Most people will probably be perfectly happy with the base components, unless they’re a hardcore mountain bike rider.
I have a feeling a lot of people considering the Falcon are just wanting a full suspension mid-drive ebike that is suitable for their height. The low stand over frame is also ideal for those with knee, hip, or balance issues.
